The physical constraints of a card game mean that amazing artwork is hidden on small cards. With many talented artists contributing to this game, it is shame to have beautiful images limited to 3.5 by 2.5 inches. With the promotional Aragorn card at Gen Con 2014, it was exciting to see a new template which highlighted the art and minimized the other design elements on a card. With that in mind, I’ve created some alternate art cards to showcase the amazing art of one of the game’s best artists: Magali Villeneuve.
I hope that everyone enjoys these alternate art cards. If anyone wants high-quality printable versions, please contact me.
Beautiful! Any chance those could get bundled into an OCTGN image pack?
I’m not quite sure how to go about doing that. I’m sure we can get GeckoTH or another of the enterprising OCTGN experts to help, though.
Do you know anywhere one could get the official alternate artwork cards (like the Aragorn you mentioned)?
I’ve seen them in ebay, but they’re very expensive.
These are fantastic, I’d love a high quality set. Do you have any experience using some of the printing companies that will make custom cards?
Pretty sure that’s supposed to be Elladan/Elrohir, not Mablung.
I believe you’re right, but this art looked close enough to use for a different character.

Beorn good day!
What settings you have selected on the Printer’s Studio? (Card quality)
Greetings, Riccardo! I used the standard quality setting when I printed these cards – since I use sleeves I don’t notice the difference between custom cards and official ones.

Where you find the template for this alternate art heros?
I used a program called Strange Eons, with a plug-in specifically for Lord of the Rings LCG.
