The Hall of Beorn Celebrates One Year!

Hello readers, and please join me in celebration. Exactly one year ago today, I came out of hibernation in my den and picked up a massive pen with the goal of writing about The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game. This past year has been filled with all sorts of adventures, including attending GenCon for the first time, and joining forces with Derek, Ian and Matthew to form The Grey Company Podcast. I even found time to put together a search engine to aid with deck building.

I want to give a special thank you to all of my readers. Your feedback, praise, constructive criticism and suggestions have all helped to make The Hall of Beorn better than it ever would have been on its own. As I have said before, and this surely won’t be the last time, the community which surrounds this game is surely one of its greatest attributes. This bear is very grateful to be a part of such a dedicated and friendly group of gamers.

The latest poll asks which section (or sections) of the site are your favorite, and I heartily encourage everyone to take part. With the Voice of Isengard, Ring-maker Cycle, and the next saga expansion set to release in the coming year, 2014 looks to be a very exciting time for this game. If you have any specific ideas for what you would like to see from the Hall of Beorn this year, feel free to leave them below.

May the blessing of Elves and Men and all Free Folk go with you. May the stars shine upon your faces!
